Urban Outfitters has partnered with InPost to offer parcel lockers and parcel shops as a delivery option for online orders, giving UK customers greater flexibility over how they receive their purchases.
Under the partnership, shoppers will be able to choose collection from InPost's network of more than 15,000 lockers and parcel shops across the UK at checkout for the first time.
The move reflects the growing adoption of out-of-home delivery services by retailers as consumers seek more convenient alternatives to home delivery. InPost's lockers are available 24 hours a day, allowing customers to collect parcels at a time that suits them.
Jon Nicholson, chief commercial officer at InPost UK, said the partnership would give Urban Outfitters customers greater control over their deliveries.
“Partnering with Urban Outfitters gives their customers real control over how and when they collect their orders. We know that four in 10 parcel recipients miss at least one delivery a month, and among those, around one in three fail on the first attempt.
“An InPost Locker or Shop removes that uncertainty entirely, letting shoppers collect at a time and place that suits them. Urban Outfitters understands what its customers want and this partnership gives their shoppers a faster, more flexible way to receive orders without changing how they shop. We're looking forward to bringing that same convenience to more of their customers across the UK.”
InPost operates the largest automated parcel locker network in Europe, with almost 95,000 out-of-home points across nine countries. The UK network now accounts for 15,000 of the group's automated parcel machines.
