Located on the site of a former restaurant on the B6144, the new forecourt serves up eight pumps for cars which include Shell’s V-Power fuels, as well as AdBlue pumps, and two pumps specifically for HGVs.
Servicing a busy area of Bradford, the forecourt is open 24 hours and has air, water and vacuum facilities, and three jet washes. There is customer parking for 17 vehicles, and an ATM will be installed by the middle of February.
The spacious SPAR store, serviced by SPAR North of England wholesaler James Hall & Co. Ltd, offers a bright shopping experience with a good range of fresh food, snacks and confectionery, grocery essentials, and a large area dedicated to chilled drinks.
Within the SPAR range is the £4.50 SPAR Meal Deal and SPAR’s ongoing promotions including Value Deals and Price Locked products.
Other categories include frozen foods and car care, and customers can also access a strong range of refreshments with fresh hot drinks including coffee and chai machines and a slush and milkshake offer.
Hanif Mohmed, Director at Pearl Forecourts, is delighted with the result at Whetley Hill which will soon be followed by another Shell service station and SPAR store in Bury. He said: “I am hugely proud of the team for delivering our new to industry site at Whetley Hill Service Station and there is more to come with our new Bury site in April."
“When acquiring the site at Whetley Hill, I identified it as a superb location for a forecourt with the mix of housing and industry in the area and the response we have had from customers to our opening has been very positive."
Peter Dodding, Sales Director at James Hall & Co. Ltd and Chairman of the SPAR Northern Guild of Retailers, said: “It has been a pleasure working with Hanif’s team at Pearl Forecourts to help bring to life Whetley Hill Service Station. The site is fantastic, and one the team are right to be proud of."
