EG On The Move has completed its acquisition of 260 sites in France from EG Group, marking a major step in the company's European expansion strategy.
The transaction, announced on Friday (31 July), follows the completion of all legal, works council and regulatory requirements.
The completion follows EG On The Move's agreement in March to acquire EG Group's French operating business. It also comes just weeks after the company completed the acquisition of PRAX's 85-site commission operator forecourt network in the UK in early July, expanding its domestic estate to around 285 locations as it continues its acquisition-led growth strategy.
The newly acquired network strengthens EG On The Move's presence in one of Europe's largest convenience and fuel retail markets, providing a platform for further investment in retail, mobility and customer services across France.
The company said it plans to invest in the estate to improve the customer offer, enhance operational performance and support long-term growth while ensuring a smooth integration of the sites.
Zuber Issa, chief executive of EG On The Move, described the acquisition as an important milestone in the company's growth plans.
