- More than four in five people surveyed (83%) believe the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck would make Christmas feel more special in a town – and 35% say attracting more people to the town centre is a reason to choose where the Truck visits.
- Christmas fan and social media star Joe Sugg has kickstarted the voting by casting his own vote for Corsham and is encouraging people across Great Britain to vote for the town where they would most like to see the Truck stop.
- Voting opens today, 20th October 2026, and closes at midnight on 3rd November via the Coca-Cola website.
For the first time, people across Great Britain can vote to help decide where the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas Truck brings its festive magic next. Voting opens today via the Coca-Cola website, giving towns the chance to be considered for a special visit from the Truck during November and December.
At each confirmed Truck Tour stop, the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck will roll in beneath a canopy of twinkling lights, transforming the destination into a magical winter wonderland. The iconic red truck will provide the perfect backdrop for festive selfies and unforgettable Christmas memories, while visitors enjoy festive games, win exclusive Coca-Cola merchandise and refresh with an ice-cold Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar or Diet Coke.
The vote launches alongside new research commissioned by Coca-Cola, revealing that more than four in five people across Great Britain (82 per cent) wish their local town felt more festive at Christmas. Christmas lights and decorations top the festive wish list, chosen by three quarters of people (75 per cent), followed by Christmas markets or fairs at 65 per cent. Half of people surveyed (50 per cent) say a lively and welcoming town-centre atmosphere is one of the things that makes a place feel Christmassy – reinforcing the role shared festive experiences can play in bringing towns to life.
Social media personality Joe Sugg voted for Corsham because he went to school there and lots of his friends still live there, who would love to visit the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck and create magical memories. He is encouraging people across Great Britain to vote for a town they believe should be considered for a visit from the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck.
The research also reveals what towns are missing this Christmas: nearly half of people (47 per cent) want a Christmas market or fair, while 42 per cent would like more free festive events. When choosing which town should receive a visit from the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck, the top reason is that it does not usually get major festive events (36 per cent), closely followed by the chance to attract more people to the town centre (35 per cent).
Shared festive experiences also have a powerful connection to place, with more than three quarters of people (77 per cent) agreeing that taking part in them helps people feel more connected to the place they call home. Christmas markets stand out as the tradition people would be saddest to lose, selected by more than one in five (21 per cent).
For almost half of people surveyed (49 per cent), home is the town or city where they live now, while more than one in four (26 per cent) still think of the place where they grew up as home.
The findings also settle two festive debates: more than one in three people (37 per cent) would reach for a novelty Christmas jumper for a Christmas photo, party or family tradition, while nearly three in five (59 per cent) say switching on the Christmas lights before December is simply too early.
“Christmas is such an important time for our retail and hospitality customers, and the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck has become a much-loved part of the festive season in towns across Great Britain," said Rob Yeomans, Vice-President, Commercial Development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB.
“This year, people can help choose where it visits next. With more than a third saying they’d pick a town to help attract more visitors to its centre, it’s a great opportunity to put local high streets in the spotlight and celebrate the businesses at the heart of them. We’d encourage everyone to get involved and vote for their town.”
For generations of fans, the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck has signalled the start of the festive season, creating immersive experiences and bringing communities together to share in the magic of Christmas.
