Voopoo has introduced its new MAGIC POD, featuring what the manufacturer describes as the world’s first multi-ohm pod, combining three resistances in a single cartridge.
The product, launched on 31 August, is designed to showcase Voopoo’s ARGUS Multi-Ohm Cartridge, which integrates 0.4Ω, 0.7Ω and 1.0Ω resistances into one pod.
Powered by Multi-Core Electrode Technology, the cartridge allows users to switch between resistances without changing pods, supporting both mouth-to-lung (MTL) and restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) vaping styles.
Voopoo has matched the three resistance settings with different flavour profiles. The 0.4Ω setting is designed for bold soda and slush flavours, 0.7Ω for fruit and more complex blends, and 1.0Ω for mint, tobacco and candy flavours.
The company said the multi-resistance design is intended to reduce the need for users to carry separate pods for different vaping styles and e-liquids.
The ARGUS Multi-Ohm Cartridge uses Voopoo's iCOSM CODE 2.0 technology and Golden Cotton, which the company describes as an aerospace-grade material capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 260°C.
According to Voopoo, the combination allows each cartridge to remain clean for up to 30 days and handle up to 100ml of e-liquid.
The manufacturer also claims that switching between resistances can reduce e-liquid consumption by up to 15 per cent compared with standard cartridges, while maintaining consistent flavour performance.
MAGIC POD is compatible with the wider ARGUS range. Voopoo said its ARGUS G4 flagship device supports all three resistance modes, while more than 20 other ARGUS devices support the 0.7Ω and 1.0Ω settings.
The company is positioning the product as a way for users to access multiple resistance options without purchasing or carrying three separate pods.
