Tesco is set to expand its rapid grocery delivery offering by launching on Uber Eats and Deliveroo, giving millions more customers across the UK access to its groceries, Clubcard Prices and Clubcard points.
The supermarket said Uber Eats customers will be able to order Tesco products from August, with Deliveroo following later this summer. The partnerships build on Tesco's existing rapid delivery service, Whoosh, which currently operates from around 1,800 stores and reaches more than 70 per cent of the UK population.
For the first time, shoppers ordering Tesco through Uber Eats and Deliveroo will be able to access hundreds of Clubcard Prices and collect Clubcard points, extending the supermarket's loyalty scheme benefits to customers using the third-party platforms.
Tesco launched Whoosh in 2021 and said the service has grown rapidly, with sales rising 51 per cent last year and around 1.5 million customers now using it nationwide.
The retailer has also expanded the service to include same-day delivery windows, larger basket shops, no minimum spend and an extended product range available through more than 250 larger Tesco stores. Whoosh complements Tesco's main online grocery business, which reaches more than 99 per cent of the UK population and delivers more than 1.2 million orders each week.
Ashwin Prasad, Tesco UK chief executive, said the partnerships would help the retailer reach even more customers.
“Whoosh has transformed the way millions of customers shop with Tesco, offering speed, convenience and great value through the power of Clubcard. Launching with Uber Eats and Deliveroo will enable us to bring those benefits to even more customers.”
He added: “Our online business continues to go from strength to strength, and these partnerships represent another important step in expanding our reach. By combining Tesco's market-leading range, quality and value with the scale of Uber Eats and Deliveroo, we're making it even easier for more customers to shop with Tesco in the way that suits them best.”
Tesco said its online grocery business generated annual sales of £7.5 billion in 2025/26, up 11 per cent year on year. The retailer also highlighted continued growth across its wider online operations, with traffic to Tesco Marketplace more than doubling over the past year and F&F clothing sales exceeding £1 billion.
