SPAR has announced the launch of a new Malbec Rosé, a sophisticated wine from Mendoza, Argentina, to cater to the rosé trend this summer.
Malbec, which grew 20 per cent in value, has been the only red grape out of the top six most popular to have seen growth last year.
SPAR already stocks two red wines in the Rios de Los Andes range from Mendoza, a region famous for producing quality Malbec grapes.
With the grape’s popularity is increasing in the form of Rosé wine, SPAR said it is now offering an affordable and accessible variant from this region.
“This Malbec Rosé is smooth, fruity and refreshing with a delicious red berry flavour. Partner with pan fried salmon, vegetarian Asian salads or simply chilled with friends,” commented Philippa Carr, Master of Wine at SPAR.
Available in participating SPAR stores from 23 July at the special launch price of £6.00 until 2 September 2020. Normal RSP is £6.50.
