Nestlé UK and Ireland has appointed Gordon Yule as business executive officer of its newly created Nutrition & Health division, as the company brings together its nutrition and health science operations under a single leadership structure.

The appointment, effective from 1 June, marks a significant step in Nestlé’s strategy to combine its Nutrition and Nestlé Health Science teams, with a focus on supporting consumers’ nutrition, health and wellbeing needs across all life stages.

Yule brings extensive experience from across the food and beverage sector and joined Nestlé Health Science from the Bountiful organisation. Over the past four years, he has overseen the integration of the business, its brands and employees into a single operation.

During his tenure, Nestlé Health Science has become the fastest-growing medical nutrition company in the UK and Ireland, while vitamin brand Solgar has established itself as the leading premium vitamin brand in the market.

In his new role, Yule will lead the combined Nutrition & Health organisation across the UK and Ireland, working with the leadership team to guide the integration process and support future growth.

Commenting on his appointment, Yule said the creation of the new business offered an opportunity to strengthen Nestlé’s position in both established and emerging health categories.

“I’m proud to take on this role at such an important moment for Nestlé Nutrition & Health,” he said.

“By bringing together our expertise, science and passion, we have a real opportunity to build something powerful for the consumers, patients and customers who rely on us every day.”

He added that the business would continue to focus on core segments such as infant and medical nutrition while expanding into high-growth areas including adult nutrition, women’s health, weight management, active and protein-focused lifestyles, and healthy longevity.
