Mars Drinks & Treats (MD&T) is relaunching its popular range of Mars branded cake bars, Galaxy Cake Bars, Galaxy Caramel Cake Bars, Maltesers Cake Bars and Milky Way Cake Bars, in addition to two seasonal flavours, Galaxy Orange Cake Bars and Galaxy Salted Caramel Cake Bars, with limited edition festive packaging.
The UK Ambient Cakes category continues to grow, now worth £1,536 million, with almost six in ten households buying into the category.
"The Ambient Cakes category continues to go from strength to strength, and cake bars remain a firm favourite with shoppers,” said Kerry Cavanaugh, General Manager at Mars Drinks & Treats. “We believe that bringing our popular cake bars back to a booming category will excite existing shoppers and attract new Galaxy, Maltesers and Milky Way fans.

The range:
- Galaxy Cake Bars: sponge cake bars with a chocolate cream centre, covered in milk chocolate.
- Galaxy Caramel Cake Bars: sponge cake bars with a caramel centre, covered in milk chocolate.
- Maltesers Cake Bars: sponge cake bars with malt flavoured cream, coloured sugar pieces and cocoa coated honeycomb pieces, covered in milk chocolate.
- Milky Way Cake Bars: sponge cake bars with a creamy filling, covered in milk chocolate.
- Galaxy Orange Cake Bars (seasonal): sponge cake bars with a zesty orange filling, covered in milk chocolate.
- Galaxy Salted Caramel Cake Bars (seasonal): sponge cake bars with a salted caramel centre, covered in milk chocolate.
The two limited-edition seasonal flavours feature winter woodland themed festive packaging. All variants come in packs of five individually wrapped bars.
The range is available at Booker, Co-op, Morrisons and Spar with an RRP of £2.50 for the core range and £2.75 for the seasonal flavours.
