Lucky Saint is recalling its 0.5% Hazy IPA 4 x 330ml cans after some cans were found to have the potential to become over-pressurised and rupture unexpectedly.
The low-alcohol brewer said the issue presents a risk of physical injury, with affected cans potentially swelling, leaking or rupturing.
The recall applies specifically to Lucky Saint 0.5% Hazy IPA, 4 x 330ml cans, with a Best Before date of 13 August 2027. The Best Before date can be found on the bottom of each can.
Lucky Saint has issued point-of-sale notices to retailers selling the affected product, explaining the reason for the recall and the action consumers should take.
Consumers who have bought the affected product have been advised not to drink or open the cans. The company's recall notice says consumers should check the Best Before date against the affected date and provide proof of purchase to the store for a full refund.
However, consumers have been told not to return the cans to the store. Instead, they should handle them as little as possible, place them carefully and upright in a sealed bag, and dispose of them with household waste.
