Jacob's is encouraging shoppers to upgrade their at-home football viewing snacks this summer with a new recipe campaign developed alongside celebrity chef Jonny Marsh.
The campaign comes as new research from the brand suggests most consumers are planning to watch this summer’s major football tournament from home rather than heading to pubs or bars.
According to the survey, 73 per cent of Brits expect to watch matches at home, compared with 24 per cent who plan to watch games out of home. Comfort, family time and saving money were among the main reasons cited by consumers.
Jacob’s said changing viewing habits are also influencing snacking occasions, with 21 per cent of respondents claiming they are more excited about match-day snacks than alcoholic drinks. Social media trends are also driving experimentation, with almost a third of consumers inspired by “crisp flights” and charcuterie-style boards.
To capitalise on the occasion, the brand has partnered with Marsh to create a series of football-themed snack recipes using products from across the Jacob’s portfolio.
The line-up includes Twiglets Chocolate Caramel Bars, Mini Cheddars Chipotle & Lime Crispy Chicken Tacos, Jacob’s Crinklys Loaded Antipasti Boards and Mini Cheddars Cheeselets Crispy Mozzarella Sticks.

Marsh said the recipes were designed to be simple, family-friendly and easy to prepare before kick-off or during half-time.
“Food has a unique way of bringing people together during big sporting moments, and these recipes are designed with sharing in mind,” he said. “As a new parent, I’ve made sure they’re simple too – easy dishes that the whole family can enjoy.”
Kate Stokes, marketing manager for Jacob’s, said snacks were becoming an increasingly important part of the at-home viewing experience.
“With more people choosing to enjoy the summer football frenzy from the comfort of their own home, match days are becoming all about easy, relaxed moments shared with friends and family,” she said.
“Snacks are playing a bigger role than ever before, and at Jacob’s - we’re excited to be helping inspire people with a series of chef-created recipes from Jonny Marsh, showing how familiar favourites, as well as new releases, can be enjoyed in new, ever-changing creative ways.”
