Greens Retail opens its first dual branded Iceland Local

Greens Retail opens its first dual branded Iceland Local

Scottish convenience store chain Greens Retail has last week launched a dual branded store with Iceland Local in Dundee, Scotland.

This is the Kirkcaldy-based group’s first joint site with the supermarket chain.

The launch event in Dundee on Saturday, 13 July, featured exclusive deals, a DJ in store, presence of company directors, freebies, and much more.

“We are extremely proud of our partners, store staff, and all our team at head office for the work they have put into making this happen. It's been a long time coming, and we are excited to open more sites in the future,” Greens Retail said.

Iceland Local range within Greens of Dundee includes Greggs, Slimming World, SIDES, Harry Ramsden's and much more. The range also includes many of Iceland’s popular deals including MIX & MATCH and many £1 Buys.

Greens has earlier announced that it will also open the innovative store concept from Iceland Foods, designed to expand the reach of the supermarket’s popular frozen product range, in its Shettleston, Glasgow store, with plans to roll out in more stores later in the year.

The first Iceland Local opened in March last year, under the management of SGN Retail, on a Texaco garage forecourt in Fallings Park, Wolverhampton.

Iceland will supply the store with a range of frozen products from Iceland’s own label range and its exclusive brand partnerships, including customer favourites such as Greggs, TGI Fridays, Harry Ramsden’s, and Cathedral City.
