Women in Wholesale announces ‘Onwards!’ theme for 2021

Women in Wholesale has announced the theme of ‘Onwards!’ for 2021 to reflect the need for businesses to keep moving forward on the diversity agenda.

“When a crises hits, it’s easy for diversity and inclusion to take a back seat if it is not embedded in your culture,” Clare Bocking, WiW chairperson, said.

“Onwards! reflects the need to progress and move forwards, both personally, professionally and on a company-wide scale.”

There are now no all-male boards across the FTSE 350 firms, according to the 30% Club’s latest data. “Wholesale has some catching up to do. Our 2021 program will help,” Bocking added.

WiW’s Speed Mentoring event will take place virtually on 29 April.

Early confirmed mentors include Louise Hoste, managing director of SPAR Retail, speaking on ‘Learning from the Biggest Brands,’ Mushtaque Ahmed, chief operating officer for JJ Foodservice, on ‘Digital Meeting Skills’ and Simon Hannah, managing director of J W Filshill, on ‘Managing Employee Well-Being.’

More information about the free to attend event is available here.
