Unilever recalls Wall’s Mini Milk Ice Cream Lollies over allergen labelling error

Retailers urged to display point-of-sale notices as precautionary recall launched across the UK

Wall’s Mini Milk 10-pack recalled due to incorrect allergen labelling

Unilever UK has issued a precautionary recall of selected batches of its Wall’s Mini Milk Vanilla Strawberry & Chocolate Ice Cream Lollies following a labelling error which means product information, including ingredients and allergens, is in Spanish rather than English.

The recall affects 10-pack boxes of 35ml lollies with batch codes L5123, L5126, L5127, L5128, L5129, L5141, and L5142, and a best before date of May 2027. No other Wall's products are affected.

The Food Standards Agency said the product contains milk and may contain pistachios, peanuts and soya – allergens not listed in English on the packaging. The oversight poses a potential health risk to consumers with allergies or intolerances to any of the affected ingredients.

Retailers stocking the affected batches have been instructed to immediately remove the items from sale and display point-of-sale notices explaining the recall to customers.

Unilever has been advised to contact relevant allergy support organisations and is working with the FSA to manage the recall. Consumers who have purchased the affected product and have any related allergies are advised not to consume it. Instead, they should contact Unilever’s careline at ukicare@unilever.com for a full refund.
