He has written several biographies, including the Second World War story American Pimpernel, and became the official biographer of India’s Prime Minister (then Chief Minister of Gujarat) publishing Narendra Modi, a Political Biography (Harper Collins). Andy joined Asian Media Group in 2018, his first “proper” job, and has been there ever since, believing that, while trade journalism might not save the world, it might just save journalism.

British sweet manufacturer Swizzels has created a limited-edition Minions-themed range of confectionery to coincide with the UK release of Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru, which launches in UK cinemas today.

The products are certain to prove popular with consumers and retailers can maximise sales with eye-catching, seasonal displays that shine a spotlight on the eagerly anticipated film.

Minions Banana and Blueberry Squashies

Minions Squashies

A brand-new flavour of the UK’s number one sugar confectionery brand*, presented in blue-and-yellow striped packaging to echo the Minions in their iconic dungarees.

Retailers can purchase in 120g packs in cases of twelve PMP. RSP £1 per hanging bag.

Minions Tropical Chew Bars

Minions Chews Bag Visual £1

A brand-new product featuring two tropical flavours: Peach & Passionfruit and Mango & Pineapple. Vegan-friendly, the chew bars are presented in vibrant packaging that features a different Minion on each product.

Retailers can purchase in 120g packs in cases of twelve PMP. RSP £1 per hanging bag.

Another new product, Minions Tropical Fizz individual chew bars will be released in June with an RSP of 15p. Vegan-friendly, the product features a surprise sherbet centre encased in a tropical flavoured chew.

The range will be heavily supported across all media platforms throughout the summer.
