Sparkling Ice Black Raspberry – the bold side of water

Sparkling Ice Black Raspberry: A Bold, Healthy UK Relaunch

Flavoured water brand Sparkling Ice has extended its range of bold and unconventional flavours with the return of its Black Raspberry variant.

Made only with natural fruit flavours, carbonated water and better-for-you ingredients including antioxidants and vitamins D, B6 and B12, and no added sugar, HFSS-compliant Black Raspberry delivers a sweet, tart and refreshing drink yet contains only 12 calories for healthier hydration.

“We’re seeing increased consumer interest in fruity flavoured fizzy water which is being fuelled by a strong emphasis on both functional health and taste,” said Clark McIlroy, Managing Director of UK distributor, Red Star Brands.

It joins the existing range of five Sparkling Ice SKUs - Strawberry Watermelon, Kiwi Strawberry, Orange Mango, Pink Grapefruit and Cloudy Lemon – and will be available from next month (May). Its launch will be supported by the high profile "Anything But Subtle" marketing campaign across POS materials and social media.

“The Sparkling Ice flavours all offer a healthier option to conventional sugar-filled fizzy drinks,” added McIlroy. “Whether it’s the tang of Black Raspberry, the juicy sweetness of strawberry or the zing of citrus fruits, these flavours take centre stage and deliver the perfect balance between great taste and reduced calorie content.”

Sparkling Ice is worth £1.2m in Convenience Multiples GB, and is one of the top three brands in the flavoured sparkling water category. Black Raspberry was part of the original Sparkling Ice line-up and has been re-introduced in response to consumer demand.
