SPAR’s annual Community Cashback campaign has once again provided direct funding to grassroots organisations across the UK, with more than 65 charities and local groups sharing a £100,000 grant fund.

Now in its fourth year, the campaign continues to grow in both reach and impact. This year, it was further strengthened by the support of SPAR’s five Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs), each contributing additional funds to boost the central grant pot. This enabled SPAR to support even more community organisations nationwide.

Launched in April, the campaign invited SPAR shoppers to nominate local charities, voluntary groups and good causes making a real difference in their communities. Thousands of nominations were received from across the UK – a clear sign of the vital role these organisations play in community life.

From youth development and disability support to mental health and community sport, this year’s recipients span a diverse range of sectors, all rooted in the heart of their communities.

A selection of the 2025 recipients include:

  • Scotland Yard Adventure Centre - £10,000
  • Highlands Psychoanalytic Collective - £5,000
  • Later Life Choices Glenrothes - £5,000
  • Down Syndrome Cheshire - £10,000
  • Preston Sports Club - £5,000
  • VividTech for Good CIC - £10,000
  • Sense Hub Denbigh - £10,000
  • Moorland Community Project - £6,500
  • Community @ In Good Hands CIC - £5,000
  • NeuroHappiness Community Interest Company - £4,000

Ian Taylor, Retail and Brand Development Director at SPAR UK, said: “The response to this year’s campaign has been overwhelming. We have seen first-hand how these grants positively impact not only the organisations, but also the communities they serve. The additional funding from our RDCs this year meant we could go even further, helping over 65 causes across the UK.

"Supporting local communities is at the heart of SPAR and this campaign is one of the many ways we show our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve. We thank everyone who took the time to nominate a cause that matters to them."

Since launching in 2021, the SPAR Community Cashback campaign has awarded grants to nearly 200 community organisations, underlining SPAR’s long-term commitment to investing in local communities and projects that matter most.
