Retail marketing and grocery shopping app Jisp has announced the appointment of digital retail and consumer goods expert Jemma Blaylock, managing director of *shopt app, to its advisory board, effective immediately.
With over 20 years of experience, Blaylock’s multi-disciplinary background includes senior positions in leading FMCG organisations and advising early-stage startups on market entry, growth and investment.
Jisp said Blaylock will be contributing her ‘exceptional knowledge and expertise’ to help shape the journey of Jisp, disrupting the retail industry through the app’s AR voucher redemption solution, Scan & Save.
“Ever since Jemma was introduced to Jisp she has been selflessly supportive. An insightful, knowledgeable, and incredibly resourceful person whose contribution has already had a huge impact on our business. The prospects for our company simply get better and better,” Julian Fisher, founder and chief executive of Jisp, said.
Commenting on her new position, Blaylock said: “Since meeting Ilann and the Jisp team a year ago, I have admired the quality of innovation but also passionately believed in the disruptive opportunity of Jisp, so greatly needed not just in UK independent Convenience but other channels and markets globally. Working collaboratively with *shopt and Jisp offers incremental opportunity to the whole value chain and I am super excited to help make the vision a reality.”
Earlier this year, Jisp has launched a partnership with the B2B rewards and engagement app *shopt, offering a connected convenience commerce media service.
