Scoot has reached 300 live stores nationwide just one year after launch, marking a major milestone for the rapid grocery delivery platform as it continues to help independent convenience retailers expand their local reach.

The service, operated by wholesaler Booker Group, has rolled out across its symbol estates including Premier, Londis, Budgens and Family Shopper, enabling participating retailers to offer fast, on-demand grocery deliveries to customers in their communities.

Launched in February 2025, Scoot connects shoppers with their local independent store via its app, handling ordering, payment and picking while allowing retailers to retain control over pricing, range and fulfilment. Deliveries can be managed in-house or through third-party partners, including Just Eat.

Booker said the 300-store landmark represents a significant step in Scoot’s mission to help independents grow sales, attract new shoppers and compete in an increasingly digital convenience market. Retailers joining the platform also receive a launch support package worth up to £2,800, covering POS, digital assets, thermal bags and enhanced marketing activity.

Damian Sanderson, Damian Sanderson, Booker’s head of home delivery, said the achievement reflected both retailer ambition and platform performance.

“Reaching 300 store launches in Scoot’s first year is an incredible achievement and a real testament to the ambition of our retailers and the strength of the platform. Scoot was built to help independent stores thrive by connecting them with their local communities in a convenient, cost-effective way,” he said.

Retailers already on the platform report tangible benefits.

Billy Gatt, Premier Whitehills, said: “Partnering with Scoot has been a game - changer for Premier Whitehills. The app has allowed us to reach more customers than ever before, helping us grow our business while delivering a reliable and convenient service. Scoot has strengthened customer loyalty and streamlined our operations – we’re proud to work with a team that shares our commitment to quality and service.”

Ben Matthees, Premier Meden Vale, added: “Scoot has truly elevated our store. We’re reaching more customers than ever with the super - easy app, boosting sales and strengthening customer loyalty. The low commission rates make it a profitable part of our business, and the support from the Scoot and Booker teams has been fantastic.”

Jenarthen Saravanamuthu, Premier Pant Stores, said: “A massive thank you for introducing Scoot to our Premier store - it has honestly been a game changer for us. We’ve been using it for almost two months now and the results have been incredible.”

Owain Hughes, Budgens Damory, added: “Scoot brings us customers that don’t use the shop, which is great for business. They find us through social media, and otherwise never would have shopped with us. It really helps to grow the business.”

With more retailers joining each week, Booker said Scoot is continuing to build momentum as part of its wider commitment to supporting independent convenience stores with practical, future-focused delivery solutions.
