Scoot partners with Just Eat

Expands rapid grocery delivery to symbol stores nationwide – Booker will support convenience retailers with access to trusted courier network

Booker grocery delivery partnership

Booker is continuing to help its independent retailers grow their business and reach more customers with the national rollout of a new last-mile delivery partnership between Scoot and Just Eat.

The new service will give Booker's symbol retailers – including Premier, Budgens, Londis and Family Shopper – the option to offer fast, reliable grocery delivery without needing to manage their own fleet or drivers. With 80 per cent of customers now wanting same-day or on-demand delivery, Booker's symbol retailers will benefit from direct integration with Just Eat's technology and courier network.

The partnership has officially launched, with the first store – Budgens Buckingham Park in Aylesbury – going live on 4 September, followed by multiple Premier and Budgens locations across England, Scotland and Wales throughout the month.

By working closely with Just Eat over recent months, Scoot has developed an API integration that allows symbol retailers to offer rapid delivery to customers with ease, speed, and minimal operational complexity.

Shoppers will continue to place orders via the Scoot app, with deliveries fulfilled by Just Eat's courier network. The move provides a convenient, affordable way for stores to enter the fast-growing home delivery space – without the need for a large upfront investment. Additional locations are being added weekly, with more retailers already in discussion with Scoot about the benefits of joining the service.

"We've developed this solution with our retailers in mind," said Colm Johnson, Retail Managing Director for Booker. "By partnering with Just Eat, we're helping stores offer a great delivery experience while keeping it simple and cost- effective. We're proud to bring this national solution to life and see it already delivering results for our retailers and their customers."

Matt Ephgrave, Managing Director of Just Eat for Business, said: "We're excited to partner with Scoot and Booker to support independent local retailers in expanding their reach through rapid grocery delivery. This collaboration brings together Just Eat's trusted courier network and technology with Scoot's platform to make home delivery more accessible, reliable and efficient for symbol stores across the UK. It's a win for retailers and a win for customers who want fast, convenient access to their local favourites."
