Probus School Filling Station, a long-established petrol forecourt located near Truro, Cornwall, as been sold to a multi-site forecourt operator.
Well-presented and highly profitable, the Gulf-branded forecourt features four pumps with 24 nozzles, two jet wash stations, customer parking across the site as well as a convenience store.
Situated in central Cornwall, 4.2 miles from Truro to the west, Probus School Filling Station sits just off the A390, in a prominent position on the main road through the village of Probus. The on-premise store has maintained a high standard throughout, with a Post Office counter and offering a wide selection of produce, everyday essentials, cards and gifts.
The business has been in the family of Shaun and Vicky Poore for over 66 years, who have now decided to sell it to focus on retirement.
They said, “We are very much looking forward to retirement now and no longer having the day-to-day responsibility of running a busy fuel station and shop. It has been a pleasure to have been serving the local community, and we have made many friends over the years.
“We would very much like to thank all our staff and customers for their support, making this part of our lives an enjoyable time. We look forward to enjoying our free time and wish the new owners all the very best for the future.”
The site has been sold to Samy Group, a leading independent operator of convenience forecourts and standalone retail stores across England.
