Pricecheck acquires heritage personal care brands

Pricecheck has acquired three heritage personal care brands, expanding its own-label portfolio and strengthening its position as a brand owner.

Leading distributor and wholesaler Pricecheck has significantly added to its own-label and product portfolio with the acquisition of three iconic heritage brands, marking the next step in the company’s evolution as a brand owner.

The Sheffield-based wholesaler and distributor has completed the purchase of hair styling favourite Harmony, deodorant and antiperspirant brand Amplex, and classic men’s fragrance Rapport.


Renowned for their distinct scents and memorable advertising campaigns in the 1970s and 80s, the trio have been household staples in the UK for over 40 years.

Pricecheck, having acted as the exclusive distributor for these lines since 2024, now takes full ownership of the brands, products and distribution going forward.

These acquisitions come following the successful launch of Pricecheck’s debut own-label range in 2025. It underscores the company’s strategic shift toward becoming a comprehensive end-to-end solutions provider, capable of growing brands, from product development to final sale, across multiple channels.

Pricecheck is an international wholesaler and distributor of branded fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Founded in 1978, the second-generation family-owned business is jointly led by Mark Lythe and Debbie Harrison OBE.

Headquartered in South Yorkshire, Pricecheck recorded turnover of £179m in 2024/25 and employs more than 350 people, with exports reaching over 100 countries.
