Parfetts is expanding its own-brand offering with the launch of Spirit Republic, a new exclusive range developed to give independent retailers stronger margins in high-demand spirits and licensed categories.

The employee-owned wholesaler will launch the range at its largest annual wholesale event, Parfest, in July. It marks the first major move into own-branded spirits under a trademark created and owned by Parfetts.

Spirit Republic will debut with a broad portfolio of 20 SKUs across multiple formats, including selected price-marked packs and smaller fractional-bottle sizes. The range includes brandy, whisky, vodka, gin, white rum, and dark rum.

The launch has been designed to support independent retailers in high-performing spirit categories and give them access to exclusive products available only at Parfetts. The move forms part of a wider Own Brand strategy designed to help retailers compete in highly competitive categories ranging from licenced to non-licensed products, while strengthening customer loyalty.

Mike Kerrigan, Own Brand manager at Parfetts, said: “Spirit Republic is an important step forward in the development of our Own Brand proposition. The range has been developed to maximise quality and value alongside strong margin performance for our retailers.”

The launch will feature depot road shows throughout Parfest, including in-depot theatre, giveaways, digital takeovers, and strong retail club activity. Spirit Republic will also be showcased across the wholesaler’s Go for Growth platform. Recently launched to support retailers with category insights to help grow sales.

Spirit Republic will replace the previously listed Prince Consort range and will be available across the company’s nationwide depot network and delivered service.

Parfetts depots are in Aintree, Anfield, Birmingham, Halifax, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Somercotes, Stockport, and, most recently, Southampton.

Mike concluded: “The response from retailers to our wider Own Brand development has been extremely positive. We see significant opportunities in licensed categories, particularly as retailers look for trusted alternatives that still deliver quality, value and profitability.”
