Parfest 2022 wrapped up on Saturday (9) after a week of activity to champion the best of cash and carry and conveniencein which all Parfetts depots saw a week of deals, free festival food, music and supplier activations.

Overall, Parfest delivered a record week of sales of over £14 million.

The week-long event was built around deals on over 600 lines, which gave retailers a chance to increase their margins. The event welcomed customers with free food ranging from sandwiches and hot drinks to a full festival food offering of burgers, pizza and fish and chips.

Staff and customers enjoyed grassed festival areas with deckchairs, parasols and a DJ to keep people entertained in the sun. Supplier partners also got involved with an opportunity to engage with retailers in the places they shop, to activate key lines, new NPD and sample.

Commenting on the event, Guy Swindell, joint managing director of Parfetts, said, “We set out to create an annual event that brings our trade show to our customers. It allowed suppliers to meet over 10,000 of our customers, who enjoyed exclusive offers, free food and live entertainment. It also gives us the opportunity to showcase the best in cash and carry and underline the essential role that wholesale depots play in the sector. And have a bit of fun while we do it.”

Platinum partners for Parfest included Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Hell, Kelloggs, Pepsico, Suntory and Zenergy. Parfetts operates seven depots in Aintree, Anfield, Halifax, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Somercoates and Stockport.
