North South Wines Ltd has issued a recall for its Chill Bill Spritzy Red Wine because it contains sulphites which are not declared on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.
The 75cl bottles with lot numbers L4011B1 and L4185B1 are being recalled. Customers who have bought the product and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites have been asked not to consume it. They can return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund (with or without a receipt).
North South Wines Ltd has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.
