Valli Forecourts has opened a new SPAR store and BP service station on Canal Road in Bradford, featuring an expanded forecourt, dedicated HGV fuelling facilities and an extensive food-to-go offer.

Located just off the city’s busy ring road, the site includes a sit-in Subway, Costa Coffee machines and a range of fresh food, chilled drinks and snacks, with the business expecting it to become one of its leading locations.

The new store has an array of Food To Go options with SPAR’s £4.50 or less meal deal in-store, adjacent to a sit-in Subway and two Costa Coffee machines. Tango Ice Blast, Coca-Cola slush, and F’Real Milkshakes and Smoothies complete the offer.

Modern refrigeration in the airy SPAR store houses a strong range of chilled drinks and fresh foods, with the ambient range including a variety of savoury and sweet snacking options. There is also an area dedicated to protein products, convenience accessories, and car care.

The modern BP forecourt includes 12 regular pumps, all with BP’s Ultimate fuel option and AdBlue dispensers, and these site alongside three dedicated HGV pumps.

Five jet washes, a rollover car wash, an air, water and vacuum machine, ATM and customer parking complete the exterior facilities. The Subway also has a drive-through hatch to the rear of the SPAR store.

Adam Valli, Business Development Manager at Valli Forecourts Ltd, said: “The team is absolutely delighted to have brought to life a superb store right in the heart of Bradford.

“The project has been in the pipeline for a while, and with the effort of the team and our local partners, we believe we have truly added something special to the community.

“It is no exaggeration to state the exceptional support we have received setting up and merchandising the store from our wholesale partner James Hall & Co. Ltd.

“Through strong coordination and open communication, we were able to plan and respond to an evolving schedule throughout the construction phase. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the team James Hall for their continued support throughout the years.”

Now fully open after the completion of external works, the reception to the SPAR store and Canal Road’s range of fuelling options and forecourt facilities has been well received by a spectrum of customers using the site.

Adam added: “The SPAR store has showed positive signs in its opening period, and we are still seeing growth in sales. The feedback from customers is great and this gives us the confidence that we have the right ingredients to succeed.

“The site has three HGV pumps and an expanded forecourt with plenty of manoeuvring space. This was a particularly key element that the team has worked extremely hard to incorporate within the development phase and we have already had brilliant feedback from HGV customers.

“We are reviewing our existing offering and exploring ways in which we can add further value to the experience of our customers.”
