Nescafé is entering the ready-to-drink coffee category with the launch of a new chilled iced latte range aimed at consumers seeking convenient, on-the-go coffee options.

Rolling out across the UK and Ireland from this week, the new Nescafé Iced Latte range is available in 250ml cans in two variants: Iced Latte and Iced Caramel Flavour Latte.

The launch marks the first major move by the UK’s top-selling instant coffee brand into the fast-growing chilled coffee segment, as demand for cold coffee drinks continues to rise among younger consumers and impulse shoppers.

According to the company, the drinks combine “creamy, quality coffee and a hint of sweetness”, with the caramel variant featuring added caramel notes. The products have an RRP of £2, although pricing will remain at retailers’ discretion.

Ingrid Hayes, marketing director for Nescafé UK and Ireland, said consumer demand for iced coffee had helped drive the launch.

“We know that more and more people are reaching for iced coffee as part of their everyday routine and they’ve been telling us they want Nescafé to be part of that moment,” she said.

“With our new ready-to-drink Iced Lattes, we’re making it easier than ever to enjoy a smooth, creamy iced coffee on the go. It’s the taste and quality you’d expect from Nescafé, in a format that fits right into your day.”
