The new Mumma Jii collection (RRP £1.29 - £1.99) is now available through global food importer and distributor Empire Bespoke Foods, and brings together the best of India’s baking industry to offer consumers a wide range of popular regional snacks. Made to authentic recipes inspired by traditional home kitchens, the range includes:

  • Makhaniya and Nankhatai cookies – rich, buttery biscuits
  • Khari – light and buttery puff pastries (nine flavours)
  • Cream rolls in six flavours including Butterscotch, Pineapple and Vanilla

“The Mumma Jii name, which comes from the Hindi word for ‘mother’ with the accent on ‘Jii’ for respect, is deeply rooted in India’s bakery heritage and represents the very best of traditional home-cooked snacks, family favourites and truly authentic flavours,” said Akash Mittal, brand manager at Empire Bespoke Foods. “We’re delighted that these popular products are now available in the UK as each brings something fresh, different and very appealing to both the sweet and savoury aisles.

“We’re sure they’re going to be very popular both with existing Mumma Jii fans and with consumers discovering them for the first time!”

The Mumma Jii range is now available to independent retailers, convenience, ethnic and Asian supermarkets and wholesalers.
