Ladydragón

Ladydragón Craft Tequila is entering its next phase, combining Mexican craftsmanship with a modern approach to premium tequila.

Ladydragón, the London-based, female-led tequila brand, says it is building a new kind of tequila story – combining Mexican craftsmanship, modern femininity and additive-free 100 per cent agave tequila with an ambitious international vision.

At the centre of that evolution is Founder and Owner Heather-Ann Falcone, whose journey into tequila has been shaped by a career spanning design, fashion, entrepreneurship and creating distinctive experiences. With a background that includes studying at Parsons School of Design in New York and building successful fashion businesses, Heather-Ann brings a strong creative perspective to an industry traditionally dominated by more masculine brand narratives.

Today, she is helping shape Ladydragón as a modern, female-led tequila brand – one that celebrates women not simply as consumers, but as founders, creators, decision-makers and leaders.

“Ladydragón is about much more than tequila. It is about creating something that reflects who we are as women today - ambitious, creative, confident and completely ourselves,” says Heather-Ann. “When the brand was created, we wanted to challenge the traditional tequila narrative and bring a different energy to the category. The journey so far has been incredibly exciting, and we are only at the beginning.”

A different kind of tequila story

Ladydragón brings together two distinct perspectives: a creative and entrepreneurial background and a deep connection to Mexican heritage and agave.

The tequila is crafted in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico, using 100 per cent Blue Weber agave. The brand’s philosophy centres on producing tequila without additives or added sugar, while respecting traditional production methods and the character of the agave.

Ladydragón’s portfolio includes Blanco, Plata, Reposado and Cristalino expressions, giving the brand a platform from which to introduce consumers to different expressions of craft tequila.

Ladydragón was born in London but crafted in Mexico, creating a bridge between contemporary British design sensibility and the heritage, craftsmanship and culture of tequila.

As the brand looks ahead, its ambition is to expand its international presence while remaining rooted in the principles on which it was founded: quality, authenticity, responsible growth and female leadership.

Putting women at the centre

Female entrepreneurship remains one of Ladydragón’s defining characteristics.

The brand was created by women, is female-led and has deliberately sought to create a business that celebrates women across the wider tequila journey - from the people involved in production through to the women who drink, recommend and champion the brand.

The philosophy is reflected in Ladydragón’s distinctive visual identity, which combines the dragon with floral elements inspired by both Mexican cultural traditions and Heather-Ann’s love of English gardens and flowers.

For Heather-Ann, entrepreneurship is ultimately about creating opportunities as well as products.

“One of the things I believe strongly in is women helping women,” says Heather-Ann. “I want Ladydragón to be a business that creates connections, opens doors and encourages other women to believe they can build something of their own.”

The future of Ladydragón

As tequila continues to evolve from a traditional spirit into a sophisticated global category, Ladydragón sees an opportunity to appeal to a new generation of consumers who care about what they drink, how it is made and the story behind the brand.

The company's future vision combines continued investment in additive-free craft tequila, international expansion, innovation and a growing platform for female-led entrepreneurship.

For Heather-Ann, the long-term ambition is clear: to build Ladydragón into a brand that can stand alongside the world's leading premium spirits while retaining its individuality.

“We want Ladydragón to become synonymous with beautifully crafted tequila, but also with confidence, creativity and women doing things their own way,” says Heather-Ann. “We have a big vision for where this brand can go. The most exciting part is knowing that we are still writing the story.”
