James Hall holds social event with SPAR retailers after three years

James Hall & Co. Ltd has held a social weekend with its SPAR independent retailers in the North of England.

Over 270 people attended the two-day event that saw retailers under starter’s orders on the Friday evening with a virtual race night in the plush surroundings of Chester Racecourse.

This was followed up by a glitzy three course gala dinner at the Crowne Plaza hotel on the Saturday evening, finished off with a live band and dancing.

A Marie Curie fundraiser was also held as part of the gala dinner with a grand total of £3,490 raised for SPAR UK’s principal charity partner.

James Hall holds social event with SPAR retailers after three years

It was the first time in three years that James Hall has held its social retailer event for independent SPAR retailers, complementing the business-focussed company update that was held last autumn.

“It was a terrific weekend in Chester and I was delighted to see so many of our retail family from across the North of England were able to join us for a celebration,” Peter Dodding, Sales Director at James Hall and SPAR Northern Guild Chairman, said

“It has been a long three years since our last social event in 2019, and we have overcome so much in that period through resilience, togetherness, and a willingness to succeed. As a company, we are now looking forward to kicking on in the second half of the year, and to supporting our SPAR retailers to achieve their ambitions in the remainder of 2022.”
