Imperial Brands names Shirley Soccio as head of consumer marketing, promotes Yawer Rasool

Imperial Brands has announced the appointment of Shirley Soccio to its senior leadership team as head of consumer marketing for UK & Ireland, succeeding Yawer Rasool who is moving to a global head of brand role.

Soccio has previously worked as global marketing director at Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC and has also held positions at British American Tobacco and L’Oreal.


Imperial Brands said her proven track record of “building strong consumer connections and elevating brand propositions” will be instrumental in shaping its future success.

The appointment will see Soccio will lead the consumer marketing strategy for the UK & Ireland, focusing on connecting consumers with Imperial Brands’ portfolio, across combustibles, e-vapour products and accessories, which includes Rizla, blu, and L&B. She will oversee a team, driving innovation and enhancing the company’s ability to deliver exceptional value to both retailers and consumers.

Yawer Rasool who previously held the position, will now take on a global role where he will focus on strengthening the JPS and Parker & Simpson (P&S) cigarette brands on an international scale.
