A new Go Local Extra store in Hartlepool has joined employee-owned wholesaler Parfetts. Long-established local retailers Paramjit and Rajbir Rai marked 25 years serving their community with an exciting relaunch of the store under new fascia.
Previously a Lifestyle Express fascia, the store underwent a complete refit and conversion to Go Local Extra. The store has already seen sales rise by more than a third, with turnover continuing to grow week on week.
The Halloween-themed relaunch brought together local families, residents, and community figures, with face painting, confectionery giveaways, and free Red Bull provided through supplier support.
Councillor Brenda Harrison officially opened the store, praising the transformation.
āWhat a fantastic job the team has delivered to our community, and also to reinvest further and relaunch the store. It looks wonderful inside and shows Paramjit and Rajbirās commitment to our community," she said.
Store owner Rajbir Rai, said: āIt has been a really easy process working with Parfetts. Weāre glad we made the move and, if anything, canāt believe we havenāt done it sooner! We appreciate the great service from the team, and having the store refitted has led to an immediate sales uplift. Joining Go Local Extra was the best move we couldāve made for our business.ā
