GroceryAid has published its Impact Report for 2024/25 which continues to show growing demand for the charity's financial, emotional and practical support and highlights the impact it makes to thousands of colleagues across the sector. In total GroceryAid spent more than £6.5million supporting colleagues in 2024/25.

As well as providing more than 139,000 incidents of colleague support (a 76 per cent increase on the previous year), the £6.5m spend included helping 6,667 children go back to school in September 2024 with the right equipment and clothing, through the School Essentials Grant.


The free and confidential Helpline saw a three per cent increase in calls from colleagues looking for emotional and practical support, and qualified counsellors provided more than 5,300 in-the-moment counselling sessions to colleagues throughout the year.

The charity also saw a 60 per cent increase in colleagues accessing legal advice, and over 1,900+ colleagues accessed online self-help and CBT guided sessions.
