Ferrero UK has recalled specific batches of its frozen Nutella Croissant after they were found to pose a potential safety risk due to the possible presence of metal fragments.
The recall affects Nutella Croissant four-packs from two production batches with best-before dates in May 2027.
The affected products are:
- Nutella Croissant (4-pack)
- oBatch code: L126Z39
- oBest before: 6 May 2027
- Nutella Croissant (4-pack)
- oBatch code: L127Z39
- oBest before: 7 May 2027
In its alert, the Food Standards Agency said metal contamination makes the product unsafe to eat.
Ferrero UK has issued point-of-sale notices to retailers stocking the product. The notices explain the reason for the recall and advise customers on the action they should take.
Consumers who have purchased the affected products have been advised not to eat them. Instead, they should either dispose of the product or return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
Retailers selling the affected batches should ensure the products are removed from sale and that recall notices are prominently displayed in-store to inform customers.
