Fairfields Farm Hand-cooked crisps producer Fairfields Farm is celebrating another outstanding year of growth, driven by product development, landmark partnerships and ambitious expansion plans.
As part of its ongoing growth strategy, the Essex-based business invested further in its potato farm and crisps factory in Essex. The upgrade included an additional industrial fryer, increasing weekly crisp production capacity by 40 per cent, alongside a new automated weighing and bagging system to support higher output. This follows a similar installation in 2024, significantly strengthening the brand’s ability to meet rising demand.
Fairfields Farm won a number of accolades in 2025, including two Great Taste awards, Family Business of the Year for Essex at the Business Awards UK and the Net Zero award at the Clean and Green Awards as recognition for their sustainability journey to Net Zero.
The business also made major strides through high-profile campaigns and partnerships. This included a collaboration with Air Ambulance UK, featuring limited-edition Lightly Sea Salted packs, with a percentage of profits supporting the AAUK network. In the travel sector, Fairfields Farm expanded its presence with a significant launch on all Ryanair flights across Europe in September.
“We’re really proud of everything the team has achieved this year,” say co-founders Laura and Robert Strathern. “From launching exciting new flavours and expanding our limited-edition seasonal range to working with fantastic partners, it’s been a year of real progress across all areas of the business. We’ve also invested heavily in our production capabilities, giving us the flexibility and capacity to meet growing demand while maintaining the quality our customers expect.”
