Eat Real Enters £400m Tortilla Market with Major Launch

Eat Real, the UK’s leading free-from savoury snacking brand, is entering the £400m+ tortilla category with the launch of Multiseed Tortillas Chips, the biggest product launch in the brand’s history and the first new base since the brand began.

The NPD is already launched in the convenience sector.


Built on a nutrient-rich multiseed base and inspired by cookbook-led flavours, the range is designed to elevate the dip-and-share occasion - bringing Eat Real’s real food values to the segment with a flavour-led, ingredient-forward offer.

Tortilla is the most mainstream alternative base in snacking and now one of the fastest-growing segments in crisps, snacks and nuts (CSN), expanding at six times the rate of the overall category.

Eat Real has built its reputation on alternative bases, bold flavours and ingredients to deliver both deliciously different taste and strong nutritional credentials. With the launch of Multiseed Tortillas, the brand brings that same approach to a base that plays an increasingly central role in modern food occasions.

The range launches in three flavours:

  • A Touch of Sea Salt
  • Birdseye Chilli, Zesty Lime & A Touch of Sea Salt
  • Smoky Tomato Salsa with a Hint of Chilli
Available in a 160g sharing format (RRP £2.75), the range has launched into the impulse channel w/c 16th March. It is launching in Morrison's w/c 13th April and Tesco w/c 27th April, with Asda to come.

The launch is backed by Eat Real’s first-ever digital display campaign. In addition, a media partnership with lifestyle platform Glassette will create a content series around small-plate moments that place Eat Real Tortillas at the centre of curated hosting moments.

Since its repositioning in April 2025, Eat Real has delivered +26% growth, growing 15x faster than the CSN category. The brand is now worth £17m RSV, making it the leading free-from savoury snacking brand and the leading better-for-you sharing brand in impulse.
