Cadbury is bringing back its Giveaway Give Away consumer promotion for a second year, offering shoppers the chance to win cash prizes to give to someone else.

The campaign, running from 3 August to 31 October, features a £25,000 grand prize, alongside thousands of other cash prizes. The promotion has been expanded this year to include more participating products across Cadbury, Sour Patch Kids, Maynards Bassetts and Trebor.

The campaign attracted more than 250,000 entries during its first year and is designed to build on Cadbury’s focus on generosity by allowing winners to nominate a friend or loved one to receive their prize.

The prizes include four £5,000 awards, 30 £1,000 prizes, 50 £500 prizes, 1,000 £100 prizes and 1,000 £50 prizes, in addition to the £25,000 grand prize.

To enter, shoppers need to purchase a promotional pack from one of the participating brands and scan the QR code or visit the Giveaway Give Away website. They can then enter their details online and, if selected, nominate someone else to receive the cash prize.

Cadbury said the promotion is intended to support retailers by driving shopper engagement, footfall and sales during a key confectionery trading period. Retailers are encouraged to stock participating brands and pack sizes.

Maria Jackson, Brand Manager at Cadbury, said: “We're incredibly excited to bring Giveaway Give Away back after seeing such a fantastic response from shoppers last year. The campaign perfectly captures Cadbury's long-standing belief that generosity brings people closer together, while giving retailers another compelling reason for shoppers to pick up participating products.

“More than a quarter of a million people took part in the promotion during its first year, creating thousands of moments of generosity across the UK. We're looking forward to seeing even more shoppers be delighted to not win this year."

The campaign will be supported by outdoor advertising, radio, YouTube and TikTok activity.
