Organic food supplier Biona has announced three new additions to its range of organic food. The new organic Italian Spelt Piadinas, Italian Spelt Pizza Bases and Hot and Chunky Kimchi will be available to retailers from November onwards.
The new Italian Spelt Piadinas are traditional flatbreads from Emilia-Romagna, which are simply made with organic spelt flour and extra virgin olive oil, with an RRP of £2.49.
The Italian Spelt Pizza Bases are thin and crispy organic pizza bases made in Italy with ancient spelt grain and extra virgin olive oil, with an RRP of £2.59.
Spelt is not only high in protein but offers a delicious nutty taste which consumers love. Neither of the products contains seed oils, which increasing numbers of consumers are trying to avoid.
Building on the success of its existing kimchi and the growing popularity of gut-friendly food, Biona is also now launching a new Hot and Chunky Organic Kimchi, which is turning up the heat with a heartier bite and a bolder flavour, with an RRP of £5.39. It is made with organic napa cabbage, the traditional base of authentic kimchi, as its sole cabbage variety, along with carrots, onion, garlic, ginger, and a blend of spices. It's also free from preservatives, artificial flavourings, and added sugar, making it ideal for clean-label shoppers seeking bold, authentic flavours.
