Campbell’s EUROSPAR in Banbridge is marking 25 years in business by celebrating with their local community.
The store, which is owned and operated by Brian and Berenice Campbell, opened in 2001 with 28 employees and now employs 68 people from the local area.
In 2015 the store underwent a major refurbishment, transforming into a modern EUROSPAR supermarket. Since then, the Campbell family has continued to invest significantly in the store, delivering further upgrades and introducing top quality services and products for shoppers. These include an instore Post Office, an extended fresh range and an in-house kitchen, where their chefs produce the renowned Campbell’s take home meal range with options to suit everyone for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
To mark their anniversary, the team are giving away a massive £4,000 as a thank you to shoppers, with four £1,000 weekly winners every Friday starting this week. Shoppers can be in with the chance to win when they spend £20 in store, write their name and phone number on the receipt and post it in the entry box.
The local community has always been at the heart of the store, with staff regularly taking part in fundraisers for local charities. Over the years the team have raised money for numerous organisations including Tearfund, Newry Hospice and Cancer Fund for Children, as well as supporting numerous local sports clubs, community groups and schools.
Funded by the local community, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is also installed outside the store. The lifesaving equipment is maintained by Campbell’s EUROSPAR and is available for the community 24/7 even when the store is not open.
Store manager Paul McArdle commented: “We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating this anniversary. As a community focused store, it was important to us to celebrate alongside our shoppers and show our appreciation for all their support over the years. Brian and Berenice have built a strong relationship with our shoppers over the years and their commitment to the local community has played a key role in the store’s reputation and success. We're proud to provide an essential local service while making a positive impact in the community.
