Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, has awarded £40,000 in prizes to 22 National Lottery retailers in its latest Site, Stock, Sell online quarterly prize draws, recognising stores that demonstrate consistently strong execution of National Lottery in-store standards.
Two National Lottery retailers received the £10,000 top prize, with a further 20 retailers each awarded £1,000 for achieving high scores in the programme.
Site, Stock, Sell programme assesses a store’s National Lottery POS materials – including their Playstation, Scratchcard dispenser and signage – for their overall “sales driving ability”. Independent retailers simply upload images of their POS items to the National Lottery Retailer Hub each month to receive a score out of 10 and to enter the quarterly prize draw.
“I didn’t believe it when The National Lottery called, as I usually think it’s going to be bad news when the phone rings! But once you quoted my retailer number, I began to believe you,” said Dennis Forsyth, owner of Key Store, Stranraer and winner of £10,000. “It’s great news for us, as it means that the newer car we have been looking to buy can now become a reality.
“The National Lottery is a great driver of footfall to our store, which really helps all aspects of my shop sales. I’d encourage any other retailer to enter Allwyn’s £10,000 prize draw – it’s so easy to do.”
Rajendrakumar Lad, owner of Local 2U Staveley Stores, Keighley and winner of £10,000, added: “This was a huge surprise because we never expected it. The money will make a big difference for our family.
“The National Lottery is really important to our shop, as it brings in loyal customers and increases our overall sales. I hope our win will inspire others to take part in the Site, Stock, Sell incentive. It’s a great idea to receive a reward for keeping your in-store standards high.”
Allwyn’s Head of Field Sales, Karl Southworth, said: “A huge congratulations to all 22 retailers recognised in this quarter’s Site, Stock, Sell online prize draw, and especially to our two £10,000 winners. The standard of entries has been excellent, and it’s fantastic to see so many independent retailers committed to maintaining strong instore execution — from well stocked Scratchcard dispensers to clear, up-to-date POS displays.
“Their hard work plays a vital role in driving National Lottery sales and, in turn, helps us continue raising over £32 million each week for Good Causes. Thank you to our retailers for everything they do to support players and their local communities.”
