Aldi is accelerating its UK expansion with four new store openings in September, creating up to 120 jobs across the locations.
The supermarket opened its new store on Kenilworth Road in Balsall Common, near Solihull, on 3 September. It will follow this with three further openings in Telford, Rayleigh and Hoxton over the remainder of the month, with up to 30 roles available at each store.
The new stores are scheduled to open at:
- 3 September: Kenilworth Road, Balsall Common
- 10 September: Waterloo Road, Ketley Point, Telford, Shropshire
- 17 September: Weir Retail Park, Rayleigh, Essex
- 24 September: Hackney Road, Hoxton, East London
The openings are part of Aldi's £370 million investment in new stores during 2026, as the supermarket continues to expand its UK estate.
Aldi has set a long-term target of operating 1,500 stores across the UK, with the September openings adding to its growing presence in communities across the country.
Jonathan Neale, managing director of national real estate at Aldi UK, said the retailer was working to bring its value proposition to more communities.
“We know there are still communities across the country that want access to an Aldi store, and we’re working hard to bring our unbeatable value to more of them,” he said.
“Opening a new store every week throughout September demonstrates the pace of our expansion, while creating new jobs and bringing high-quality, affordable food to even more shoppers.”
