Snacks manufacturer Calbee UK has appointed Christopher Rees as Group Operations Director.

Rees joins the business with over 13 years of snacks experience at PepsiCo, on brands including Doritos, Wotsits, French Fries, Squares, Sunbites and Quavers.

His recent role of Manufacturing Director saw him responsible for the production of snacks across two PepsiCo sites  Coventry and Lincoln. Originally employed as a Front Line Manager in the Skelmersdale Manufacturing facility in 2010, Rees held roles in Engineering, Warehousing, Logistics, Operations and Category Planning, sitting on the snacks and nutrition commercial leadership teams at PepsiCo HQ.

Starting out his career in the British Army, Rees was employed as an Engineering Manager for eight years before making the leap into the food and drink industry.

“My new role as Director of Operations at Calbee provides an exciting opportunity to leverage my extensive Supply Chain knowledge and experience to support the organisation’s growth aspirations and future objectives,” commented Rees. “I’m looking forward to getting started.”

Calbee UK MD Daniel Woodwards said, “Chris brings with him significant experience from within the category and we believe he’ll play an integral role in the business’ ambitious growth over the coming months and years. We’re thrilled to welcome him on board”.
