Snickers Ice Cream launches first ever UK TV campaign

Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats (MCD&T) is launching a new £1.26m marketing campaign this month, to drive increased awareness and sales of its popular Snickers Ice Cream products during peak ice cream season.

Running until 26 August, the new campaign entitled “Nothing Satisfies More” will be a UK first for Snickers Ice Cream, appearing across mainstream ITV, Channel 4 and Sky television, online broadcast streaming platforms, and out of home Gym TV Music and Tony & Guy Salon screens.

The campaign aims to reach 60 per cent of all adults in the UK, and will be further supported with trade public relations, and social media amplification across TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram. Collectively, the campaign will achieve 90.3 million impressions throughout the summer months.

“Across the overall ice cream market in 2022, our portfolio of Mars branded ice creams grew by £11.5m, equating to a 41 per cent share of the total ice cream market growth,” said Michelle Frost, general manager at Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats. “Over the last five years, Mars has delivered more than six times the growth of the category average, and more than any other manufacturer.

“The Snickers Ice Cream products are one of our best selling from the range, and we are using this opportunity to not only speak to our trusted brand fans through mainstream media, but also introduce Snickers Ice Cream to younger adults through social media, and particularly our TikTok collaborations.”

Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats is working with collectively with CLM BBDO, MediaCom and Escapade PR & Marketing to implement the “Nothing Satisfies More” campaign.
