One Stop launch Care Bear goodies to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer

For the second year running One Stop are partnering with Young Lives vs Cancer and selling special edition Care Bear badges and keyrings in their stores with all proceeds going to the UK charity.

Available in all stores across the UK, customers can get their hands on four badges and four keyrings featuring 6 care bear characters; Grumpy Bear, Bedtime Bear, Cheer Bear, Sunshine Bear, Wish Bear and Love a Lot Bear at £1 and £2 each.

Last year the convenience retailer raised an impressive £29,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer, helping the charity support children and young people (aged 0-25 years old) as well as their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them.

Julie Millar, Head of High Value Fundraising at Young Lives vs Cancer shares her gratitude for the One Stop partnership: “We’re delighted to be working with One Stop again this year. Their support means we can be there for more children and young people with cancer and their families.

“From Care Bear pin badges and keyrings, to sporting challenges and in-store fundraising, we’re able to see the incredible contribution their staff and communities can bring to our cause. On behalf of the children and young people with cancer, we’d like to thank One Stop for pledging their support to Young Lives vs Cancer.”

Running until the end of August, customers can also enter a colouring competition for their chance to win a variety of limited-edition small Care Bear teddies! Not only that, a number of One Stop stores will also be raffling off a large Care Bear.

Jack Taylor, Community and Partnerships Manager at One Stop explains the importance of supporting the charity: “Young Lives vs Cancer provides vital help and support to young people and their families to cope with cancer in our communities. We all know someone who has been touched by cancer and our colleagues have taken the charity into their hearts and we are all very proud to be supporting them as their newest official charity partner.”
