    New TV campaign promotes Walkers MAX x KFC crisps  

    Walkers has unveiled a new TV advert to mark the launch of the new Walkers MAX x KFC flavoured crisps and its on-pack promotion.

    “Our focus for 2021 is to bring smiles back to the nation. If it doesn’t make you laugh, it isn’t a Walkers campaign – and this latest creative won’t disappoint,” commented Fernando Kahane, marketing director Walkers Snacks at PepsiCo.

    Created by PepsiCo’s in-house media and creative agency team, the ad premieres today (13 February) with a 30” TVC spot during the final of The Masked Singer, and will feature heavily across AV, digital and social media until early April.

    A further 40” spot will feature tomorrow during ITV’s Dancing on Ice and Channel 4’s The Great. The campaign will be supplemented with Walkers’ first ever TikTok Top View creative and a Twitter Spotlight takeover, both going live on 16 February.

    “We are extremely proud to partner with KFC on this initiative, which materialised as a result of our longstanding relationship via our beverages brands,” Kahane added.

    Walkers has teamed up with the restaurant chain to launch two signature flavours: Walkers MAX Kentucky Fried Chicken and Walkers MAX Double Crunch Zinger, which will be available all-year-round. The brand will also be running an on-pack promotion across both flavours, giving consumers a 2 for 1 KFC Meal in the form of 50 per cent off the cost of two Meals for One with every pack.
