Cheshire police have charged two men over a series of burglaries in convenience stores across Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.

Anthony Hollywood and Anthony Carroll, both aged 42, were arrested on Tuesday 22 February, Cheshire police said on Friday (25). Hollywood, of Stafford Drive, Bootle, and Carroll, of Longfellow Street, Bootle, both appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (24) where they were remanded in custody.

The pair have since been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.

The charges relate to burglaries at seven convenience stores across Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester, including Co-op on Knutsford Road, Latchford, Warrington. The incidents happened Feb 10 and Tuesday (22).

The men are next set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on March 24.

The news comes weeks after it was reported that three men forced entry to the Co-op on Knutsford Road in Latchford shortly before midnight on Feb 10 and took away a quantity of cash.
