Talisker launches new initiative to support coastal communities

Talisker, Diageo’s premium Scotch whisky brand, has unveiled a new partnership with Scottish seafood provider Loch Fyne Oysters as part of its global initiative to support local coastal communities weather the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The campaign will offer a new at home whisky and oyster pairing experience to raise funds for The Fishermen’s Mission, a charity which provides practical and financial support to coastal fishing communities across Britain.

The limited edition Talisker & Oyster Signature Pairing Kit is available to purchase through Loch Fyne Oyster’s at-home delivery service and consists of two Talisker 5cl bottles along with one dozen oysters and costs £12.

Talisker will pledge £1 to The Fishermen’s Mission each time a photo of the kit is shared via social media, using the hashtag #SHUCKTOGETHER.

“We are delighted to be working with Loch Fyne Oysters, whose rich Scottish heritage and passion for supporting local communities, mirrors our own,” said Nick Moore, UK brand manager for Talisker.

“We have always known that Talisker pairs brilliantly with oysters, but we are thrilled to be able to bring this ritual to people’s homes whilst being able to support the fantastic work of The Fishermen’s Mission in supporting the recovery of coastal communities across the UK through these challenging times.”

Loch Fyne Oysters is a major provider of Scotland’s finest seafood to restaurants and retailers around the world.
