    SPAR launches pink Prosecco

    SPAR has announced the launch of its pink Prosecco variant.

    Available in stores from 30 November, Prosecco Rosé is a light and delicately rose-pink sparkler made from a blend of Glera and Pinot Noir grapes.

    Arriving well ahead of Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, SPAR said it expects to sell several tens of thousands of bottles during this festive season.

    The retailer has been working closely with Italian suppliers Bosco Viticultori, who also produce SPAR’s blue shield Extra Dry Prosecco, to ensure timely deliveries after the Italian government gave the go ahead for the production of pink Prosecco in May.

    Philippa Carr MW, wine consultant to SPAR, said: “SPAR is really excited to bring top quality Prosecco Rosé to convenience shoppers. The new Prosecco Rosé is a deliciously fruity sparkler perfect for the festive season and would make a wonderful choice for Christmas gifting. It is incredible value at only £7.99 a bottle.”

    Available in participating SPAR stores in England, Scotland and Wales, SPAR Prosecco Rosé 75cl is launching on special promotion at £7.99 until 10 March 2021. Normal RSP is £9.00.
