The rebellious Islay Single Malt Whisky, Smokehead, has launched its latest expression, Smokehead 15-Year-Old, which is bolder and older than any other expression in the range.
The 15YO expression (43 per cent ABV) has a complex smoky character that is rounded by earthy floral notes, smooth vanilla and zesty lemon with a long, peaty finish with notes of lemon zest and sea spray. Bold but never brash, this whisky brand, whose bottle design features the Smokehead skull, is different from others in every sense. This is an Islay Single Malt, and more so.
With the brand’s call to action of "Just follow the smoke", Smokehead 15YO is a whisky that will appeal to a new generation of whisky explorers who aren’t hampered by traditional views of what a whisky ‘should be’: this whisky shows what whisky could be – and is.
