SlimFast launches Keto range in UK

Leading weight management brand SlimFast has expanded into new category, launching a range of Keto products.

The launch, billed as the first mainstream Keto products, follows the success of SlimFast Keto in the US, which now accounts for over 40 per cent of the overall US business of SlimFast.

The brand said it aims to reach a new audience with the SlimFast Keto Fuel bar and shakes, which supports the body in shifting its energy source from carbohydrates to fats.

SlimFast added that consumer research has shown a strong demand for ‘Keto convenience’ products as nearly one in four (23%) UK dieters are considering the Keto diet.

“It was clear from our research that many people following a Keto diet struggle to find tasty and convenient Keto-ready snack options to help them maintain their healthy eating regime,” said Hannah Darlington, marketing director at SlimFast.

“It’s an increasingly popular lifestyle, with many known benefits, but often seen to be confusing and complex. Our aim is to make ‘Keto’ more accessible, more enjoyable, and easier to do through our new range of tasty SlimFast Keto Fuel bars and shakes”

SlimFast Keto Fuel Shakes (RRP: £14.99) are available in three flavours – Rich Chocolate, Creamy Vanilla and Smooth Mocha.

Each tub contains 10 servings at 199 calories per shake. The sugar free shakes are also enriched with zinc to support metabolism and contain vitamins B6 and B12 to support energy levels.

Keto Fuel Bar contains a delicious caramel style layer and crunchy peanuts, and is topped off with a generous chocolate-flavoured coating. Each 46g bar contains 200 calories and has an RRP of £2.29.

SlimFast noted that a ketogenic diet can help support weight management goals when used as part of a calorie-restricted diet.
